The Femoral Artery which comes from the abdominal aorta is an important artery vital for oxygen. The femoral artery goes through a duct in the adductor magnus which is located in the posterior of the knee area of the body. The Femoral Artery usually gives off a branch known as the profunda femoris artery, a very important artery. It is also known as the deep artery of the thigh, which continues all the way down to the thigh medial and then following to the femur.
