Automysophobia and Fear?

12.16.07 | No Comments

Automysophobia is something that many persons have dealt with at one point or another. Automysophobia has to do with the feeling of being dirty. Symptoms of Automysophobia are breathlessness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, feeling sick to the stomach, shaking, not able to think straight, heart palpitations, a fear of dying, becoming mad or losing mental faculties.

People have no idea that it is a protective mechanism of the mind which is causing Automysophobia. In general it can be linked to a past horrific experience, or even watching a horror film or something that is shocking.

People think that Energy psychology can help to cope with Automysophobia, but studies have shown this to not be the case. The feeling of being dirty causes a horrible feeling in people and makes them miserable. More people need to understand Automysophobia and how it effects them whether they know it or not many times.
