Dennis Quaid Sues Makers of Heparin

12.05.07 | No Comments

Dennis Quaid and wife are sueing the makers of Heparin. The makers of Heparin are being sued for the way the packaging of the drug was done. Tuesday their 2 babies were given large doses of heparin which is a blood thinner. The couple are very upset with the methods of packaging of the drug and blame the company who oversees that.

If the drug heparin would be packaged more carefully so that it could be adminisered when needed this issue would not be in question. Dennis Quaid and wife are sueing for $50,000 in damages. Baxter Healthcare Corporation which is based in Illinois was the company that has packaged the drug. This just goes to show that there are many mistakes in the medical field and a lot of times they are not caught. Hopefully this will cause some drug makers and suppliers to be a bit more careful how they treat these products.
